Download Festival 2013 Lineup Grows, Still Nothing Compared To Soundwave

For the first time since I became musically conscious, I have to say that I’m not upset to be missing Download Festival. What has been for so many years a Mecca for all those into rock ‘n’ roll has unveiled 7 new additions to its 2013 lineup, and for once I’m not jealous!

Joining the already announced Iron Maiden for the event will be the post-hardcore stylings of A Day to Remember, love metal pundits HIM, Alice in Chains, The Gaslight Anthem, 30 Seconds to Mars, and now Queens of the Stone Age have given fans the thumbs up that they will be performing. Other than that we know that Rammstein will be performing as well as Slipknot.

The historic festival, which takes place at the iconic Donington Park, never fails to book some of the world’s biggest legacy bands, and the biggest names in fresh talent. Though on that note, allow me to direct your attention to the Soundwave 2013 lineup: Metallica, Slayer, Blink 182, Anthrax, Linkin Park, and A Perfect Circle. I’m quite happy to save the airfare, and put that towards public transport to Soundwave. Booyah!
