Drake’s ‘One Dance’ Has Become The First Song To Reach One Billion Streams On Spotify

It seems like people want Drake‘s One Dance way more than one time with the song becoming the first ever to reach one billion streams on Spotify.

According to Billboard, the song, which is obviously also the most streamed ever on Spotify, reached the milestone last week.

It’s the first number one single in the US ever for the rapper and has helped Drizzy break plenty of streaming records on Spotify. He’s the most streamed artist of the year with 4.7 billion streams and also has the most streamed album of the year VIEWS. Oh, and he’s also the most streamed artist on the platform of all time with over eight billion streams.

The next most streamed song this year was Mike Posner’s I Took A Pill In Ibiza but in terms of Spotify’s most streamed songs of all time, he’s trailed by Major Lazer’s Lean On which has been played 908 million times.

It’s somewhat interesting that Drake has had so much success on Spotify given that he’s actually signed a deal with Apple Music. He released VIEWS exclusively to on the platform back in April and has also appeared in an advertisement for them.

If you want to stream One Dance again, go right ahead.
