Eagles Of Death Metal Lead Final Bluesfest 2016 Lineup Announcement

Bluesfest 2016 just continues to come up with the goods by adding The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band and Eagles Of Death Metal amongst a slew of other names in their final announcement before the festival.

Mick Fleetwood will be joined by Fleetwood Mac guitarist and singer Rick Vito to perform legendary blues covers. He was in the country last October and November for Fleetwood Mac’s mighty tour but will return in April for Bluesfest with a vastly different set.

Eagles Of Death Metal will also come to Australia for the festival. It’s their first time touring here since the horrific Paris attacks which saw 89 people shot at their Paris show at the Bataclan. Jesse Hughes will tour with guitarists Dave Catching and Eden Galindo, bassist Matt McJunkins, and drummer Julian Dorio – the same band lineup that was playing in Paris on the night. It doesn’t look like founding member Josh Homme will be in Australia for Bluesfest.

Bluesfest has already announced a number of huge acts including Kendrick Lamar, Modest Mouse, D’Angelo and The National. Check out the full final lineup announcement below.

UPDATE 04/02/15: Bluesfest boss Peter Noble has opened up about booking Eagles Of Death Metal on the festival lineup.
