Earl Sweatshirt Slams Jay-Z, Announces Release Date for New Album ‘Doris’

Teenage rapper Earl Sweatshirt has been a busy bee on Twitter, announcing the release date and tracklisting for his forthcoming album Doris, and managing to find the time to have a crack at Jay-Z too, saying that his latest album Magna Carta Holy Grail is “bad”.

The Odd Future member’s second LP will be with us on 20th August, a little later than the promised “late July”, with the 19-year-old making the announcement by posting a screenshot from his iTunes library to Twitter. The tweet revealed the 15 tracks on Doris, including the sombre, introspective Chum and the mischievously chaotic WHOA.

Sweatshirt has also been using his Twitter powers for evil, slamming Jay-Z’s latest release Magna Carta Holy Grail, saying that although he loves the rapper, he’s been skeptical since hearing his verse on Justin Timberlake‘s Suit And Tie. He then said, “If you really fucked with Magna Carta then unfollow me”, evoking the ire of Hov fans everywhere.
