Ed Sheeran has announced the addition of three extra dates to his upcoming Australian tour. Demand has been so overwhelming that the acclaimed UK singer-songwriter will now be playing extra shows at Brisbane’s Riverstage, the Qantas Credit Union Arena in Sydney, and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.
Sheeran’s upcoming Aussie shows will be a special experience for fans, with every show open to all ages and ticket prices capped at $99 plus booking fees, regardless of whether it’s in the front row or the back. “Ed wanted to ensure that his shows were accessible to all of his fans,” said promoter Michael Gudinski.
Recently in the country to play the AFL Grand Final alongside Tom Jones, Sheeran is fast becoming a frequent visitor to our shores. These upcoming dates are sure to be something special for fans, showcasing the young songwriter’s ability to turn any performance into an intimate experience.
UPDATE 02/10/14: Ed Sheeran has announced the addition of extra shows to his forthcoming Australia-New Zeland tour. After recently added second shows in Melbourne and Sydney quickly sold out, Sheeran confirmed the addition of third shows for both cities as well as a second show for Adelaide.
