In tragic news from the US, a 91-year-old man has been killed after being struck by a tour bus.
The bus belonged to English singer Gary Numan, who has cancelled a show on his tour out of respect for the man’s family.
As NME reports, the ‘Cars’ hitmaker was heading to perform at Cleveland’s House Of Blues on Monday when his tour bus collided with the elderly man as it made a right turn, killing him instantly.
“We are all utterly devastated by the fatal accident involving our tour bus earlier today”, Numan posted on Twitter.
“Everyone of us is filled with a sadness that made it impossible to even consider playing our show this evening, and out of respect it would have been entirely wrong.
“At the moment all we can think about are the people affected by this terrible tragedy and to them we send all our love.”
The 45-year-old driver at the wheel of the bus has not been arrested, but police are investigating the incident.
