Now this is a great idea. Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley has filled the gap in the market for alternative 90’s cover bands with style, teaming up with musicians from other bands, as well as friends, to create Soul Patch.
The name itself is one of the most 90’s things ever. Buckley, who also moonlights as a key member of AbsolutePunk.net has only very recently kicked things into gear with the band, opening the Facebook page a matter of hours ago, so if you like getting in on the ground level with bands, check it out.
Already Soul Patch has played a couple of gigs. A couple of video’s have surfaced online: fan filmed footage, nothing HD just yet, but their rendition of Silverchair’s Tomorrow is sounding pretty smooth as it is.
Self-praised as “Buffalo’s premier 90’s alternative cover band”, Soul Patch also features members from another band from the New York area, Quintana.
