Reports have come in via listindiario.com.do that the drummer for heavy metallers Exsanguination Throne has been stabbed to death by a gang of men in the Dominican Republic.
Twenty-three-year-old José Carlos Hernández , who went by the stage name Asmodeo Nefastdrum Shiva, is believed to have been stabbed more than 27 times by the group outside of the Gustavo Live Pub in Santo Domingo, according to Blabbermouth.
Police acted quickly and have since arrested three men in relation to the crime: Josaías Benjamín Mota Lorenzo, Máximo Dalvin Almánzar Guerra and Miguel Ángel Bautista Mota. One of the suspects was in possession of the murder weapon: a 10-inch blade, and has stated that the group mistook Hernández for a man they thought had raped a women (whom they knew) a month earlier. It was soon shown to them that this was not the case.
Hernández was the son of the late but well known Jochy Hernández and reporter María del Carmen Hernández, who worked for the Dominican based program Despierta América” on Univision.
