FBi Offer Brush With Fame Via Unique Musical Artwork

Taking the prize for best Christmas present idea, Sydney’s FBi Radio are auctioning off original artworks by your favourite musos. As a part of their fundraising project, Brush With Fame, FBi volunteers have been commissioning local and international acts to take creative liberties and decorate a plain white canvas to raise funds for the community station.

Contributing artists include Iggy & the Stooges, Vampire Weekend, Tame Impala, Flume, You Am I, The xx, Disclosure, Florence and the Machine, Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, RUFUS, Jens Lekman, Foals, Cloud Control and more.

Also included are works from visual artist and Archibald Prize finalist Abdul Abdullah, world renowned street artist Beastman, media commentator and author Marieke Hardy and Australian icon, musician and mind behind “Mambo”, Reg Mombassa.

More than 40 works from artists are on auction right now at FBi’s eBay Store, with bids starting in at AU $50. So far Reg Mombassa is leading the pack with his Dog Trumpet piece pulling in an impressive bid of $740.
