Tasmania’s A Festival Called Panama have just released the huge second line-up announcement, with artists including C.W. Stoneking and Hiatus Kaiyote joining the likes of Seun Kuti & The Egypt 80 and Natalie Prass from the first announcement.
Other acts joining the fray include The Creases, Slum Sociable as well as Brian Campeau, Machine Age, Superfeather and Peabody Award winning radio producer Scott Carrier (of This American Life fame) who will be appearing for an exclusive storytelling event.
Set to take place over three nights from Friday 11th – Sunday 13th of March in the luscious glades of the Lone Star Valley (this is actually a place apparently) Panama Festival offers an incredible selection of rising musical stars and celebrated cult artists in a site filled with tiny hideaways and side stages in canvas tents and candlelit bars.
The festival has to more to give than just music though, with the site sporting its own collection of speakeasies and food markets within its world of stages and nightclubs.
For those of you who are too eager to wait for the festival to start, organisers have once again given punters the option of an early arrival ticket for Friday March 11, giving you the chance to get in early and set up camp before the festival starts on Saturday. And while there won’t be any entertainment organised for the mainstage, the Bedouin Club will be hosting a rock’n pre-party with some special guest bands and DJs.
This being a boutique festival, you might want to get your act together about grabbing tickets though as with just 1250 being made available, they are sure to go fast.
Selling out last year, this year’s tickets will be available to previous attendees and mailing list members before limited tickets go on sale on December 1st. See the full second announcement of artists, with the original announcement below.
