A Festival Called Panama 2016 Lineup Announced

Tasmania’s A Festival Called Panama has unveiled the first round of artist announcements for its 2016 event.

The third instalment of the annual forrest festival will see a carefully selected lineup of rising stars and celebrated cult figures from around the country – and the world – take the stage, led by Nigerian afrobeat pioneers Seun Kuti and Egypt 80, American singer-songwriter Natalie Prass, New Zealand crooners Marlon Williams and the Yarra Benders, Melbourne R&B pop act The Harpoons, Perth’s Methyl Ethel and loads more.

They’ll take to the main stage at the three-day camping festival, while smaller venues, set in old canvas tents and tiny candlelit bars, will host sideshows of wild jazz, world class cabarets, intimate acoustic sessions, unforgettable story telling and DJ sets.

A Festival Called Panama will take place across March 11th, 12th and 13th, 2016 in Tassie’s Lone Star Valley, set against the picturesque backdrop of the towering Panama Forest.

And if that’s not enough to get you feeling zen, there’s also local roasted coffee and fresh cooked meals on offer, as well as craft beers, ciders and wines, clothes swaps, artisan markets and lakeside yoga sessions.

Only 1250 tickets will be released for Panama 2016, and they go on sale from December 1st.
