Festival Of The Sun 2015 Lineup Announced

Port Macquarie’s Festival Of The Sun is back for its eleventh year, packing its biggest ever lineup featuring homegrown acts like Melbourne MC Illy, rockers Jebediah, hip hop outfit Thundamentals, British India, The Delta Riggs and Alpine.

Also included in this year’s Festival Of The Sun lineup are Bad//Dreems, post-rockers Sleepmakeswaves, rising electro punk Ecca Vandal and Northeast Party House. Catch the full lineup, below.

Now in its second decade of operation, Festival Of The Sun is adding some new experiences to its festivities this year, including an interactive art showcase called Wabi Sabi (roughly translated from Japanese as “nothing lasts forever”).

“Wabi Sabi delivers a visually artistic element, welcoming a range of pop-up workshops, street art, sand sculpting and food stalls to satisfy any taste,” says Festival Of The Sun Director Simon Luke.

“Resident graffiti artist Sigh Luxton will highlight this portion of the festival. Ultimately, Wabi Sabi allows punters to let out their inner creativity in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.”

Wabi Sabi will preface the festival on Thursday, 10th December, before the live tunes kick off at midday on Friday, 11th December and run over both the Friday and Saturday.

To keep things intimate, only 3000 tickets will be available for Festival Of The Sun 2015, with various types of camping tickets available, including VIP cabins and cottages. The festival is an 18+ BYO event, but children under 10 get free entry when they’re with an adult.
