Listen To Flight Facilities Remix Marvin Gaye’s ‘Let’s Get It On’

Australian electronic duo Flight Facilities have shared a remix of Marvin Gaye‘s 1973 hit ‘Let’s Get It On’.

Their take on the soul classic – the lead single from Gaye’s 1973 album of the same name – speeds it up a little while steering it into slightly more shimmering, kaleidoscopic territory. That said, it stays relatively faithful to the original, keeping the song’s core elements and relying largely on the original instrumentation.

“An honour to be asked to remix this special song,” Flight Facilities wrote on social media. “Over the years we’ve referenced plenty of Marvin’s music, we hope we returned the favour in a way he would be fond of.”

‘Let’s Get It On’ is the latest in a string of remixes Flight Facilities have served up so far in 2022. Since the year began, they’ve delivered their takes on Foals‘ ‘Wake Me Up’, the Dom Dolla and Mansionair collab ‘Strangers’ and LEISURE’s ‘Slipping Away’.

Last year saw the duo – Hugo Gruzman and James Lyell – release their second album under the Flight Facilities banner, Forever. The follow-up to 2014’s Down to Earth featured a wide array of guests, including Channel Tres, Broods, Emma Louise, DRAMA and more.
