Flume Has Some “Surprises” In Store For Tonight’s Splendour Set

Flume is tickling our pickles with a teaser about what might be going down during his Splendour In The Grass set tonight.

Just a few short hours before hitting the amphitheatre stage to close-out the 2016 festival with a sure-to-be-pants-wettingly-epic headlining set, the Sydney banger wizard has dished up a Facebook update with some cheeky hints at what his live show this eve might hold in store.

“Tonight I have some surprises for you,” he announced. “Probably not what you’re expecting but it’s going to be special. See you in the amphitheatre.”

Meanwhile, it seems like the magnitude of actually headlining Splendour In The Grass has really hit home for Flume today.

The genius producer also got a little misty-eyed nostalgic, posting a video of his first-ever Splendour set back in 2012 (below), which he pulled off at just 21 years of age.

Accompanying the video, he said:

“The first time I went to Splendour in the Grass was in 2010. I was 19 and had never been to a camping festival before. In 2012 I played my first ever set at Splendour. The video below shows a little bit of that 2012 set. It was easily the biggest crowd I’d played to at the time… it was a really special moment and felt like a genuine turning point for me. That first time as a punter in 2010, I watched The PIXIES close the main stage on the Sunday night. Can’t wait to play the same slot for you this weekend.”

No doubt the crowd will be just a little bit bigger this time around.
