Frank Ocean fans have fallen victim to a cheeky online troll who is actually the muso’s younger brother, Ryan Breaux, as they wait for the highly anticipated follow-up to 2012’s Channel Orange.
Ocean’s next album — which is rumoured to be called Boys Don’t Cry, and which was expected to arrive in July — still hasn’t dropped.
As NME reports, Ocean’s little bro has taken advantage of the ever-increasing hype surrounding the release by posting an image (below) of Ocean onto Instagram, with the caption, “Its finally out! Link in my bio.”
The link on Breaux’s bio took fans to the iTunes store, and to the music video for Rick Astley’s troll-friendly hit, Never Gonna Give You Up, leaving them thinking of only one thing:
In some slightly better news, Frank Ocean’s website now automatically redirects to the URL “boysdontcry.co”, which displays the image that his little brother used to troll eager fans.
Ocean’s latest track, memrise, was released in November 2014, but it’s not yet known if the song will feature on his forthcoming album.
