New York’s Frankie Cosmos has just announced her debut tour of Australia for 2017, with shows in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The outfit, lead by actor Kevin Kline’s 22-year-old daughter Greta Kline, started out as Kline’s own solo bedroom pop project, but has since grown into a full band featuring David Maine, Lauren Martin and Luke Pyenson.
Frankie Cosmos’ sound is youthful and hopeful, with lyrics that often reflect the struggles and awkwardness of love in youth, and all attached beautifully to lazy, summery pop melodies.
Kline recently released her second album Next Things, and off the back of tours in the US and Europe she’s revealed that Frankie Cosmos will play four Australian shows in March next year.
