Oxford based band Glass Animals have released a teaser for what we (hopefully) assume to be their impending second album, and it has got tongues a flappin’.
With just a couple of single releases since their solitary full length studio 2014 release Zaba, this teaser is definitely amping up the anticipation of what’s to come from these musical mammals.
In the mere 53 seconds that they give us, we see flashes of middle Amercia desert landscapes, ’70s hotel rooms, a dancing/convulsing child and a pensive middle aged glamour. The music is all Daft Punk futuristic, with heavily processed robot vocals and churning programmed drums, making quite the leap since their first album which was more moody and melodic toe tapping electro.
This fresh little snippet is definitely working a charm, leaving fans new and old super excited to hear more of what’s to come from these talented lads. Hopefully we’ll get a taste of the new stuff when Glass Animals’ Australia tour kicks off in July.
