Swedish pop icon Robyn is teasing her return on social media today, obviously noting that the world needs her silky synth pop to get us through this hell year.
She posted a snippet of a song on Twitter this morning (Tuesday, 4th August) with a short video, simply captioning it “5/8” with an emoji of a puzzle piece.
Obviously meaning something new is coming on Wednesday, 5th August, this will be Robyn’s first bout of new music since she released her highly acclaimed eighth studio album in 2018, Honey.
Robyn celebrated a strong end-of-decade with her seminal 2010 hit ‘Dancing On My Own’ appearing in the top end of many end-of-decade best songs list. In addition, it made its Hottest 100 debut in the Hottest 100 of the Decade at the top of this year at #74.
