Guns N’ Roses Have “Two Or Three” Albums Worth Of New Material

It’s been almost seven years since the last Guns N’ Roses album, but the band’s guitarist, Richard Fortus, has said that the group aren’t short of new material, and actually have “two or three” albums worth of fresh tunes ready to roll.

Speaking to VerdamMnis Magazine (Via Classic Rock), Fortus has said Guns N’ Roses have been recording new material for the follow-up to 2008’s full-length effort, Chinese Democracy.

“So much has been recorded, we could get two or three albums, seriously,” Portus said. “We sent our files in all directions. We can’t wait to put it out as soon as possible.”

Guns N’ Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed said that the band don’t know when their next release will arrive, but they think frontman Axl Rose does. “When will it come out? We still don’t know,” Reed said. “Only Axl knows, but it is very secret. Be patient.”

As Team Rock notes, Fortus has previously said that Guns N’ Roses won’t have new material out this year, and are hoping to release and tour a new album in 2016.

In May this year, ex-Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash said he’s open-minded about the possibility of reuniting the classic Guns N’ Roses lineup, and added that we should “never say never”.
