Hayley Williams Confirms Paramore Are Writing A New Album

Good news from camp Paramore – the band ain’t done yet.

Frontwoman Hayley Williams has confirmed via Twitter that the pop-rockers are working on new music, eradicating doubts about the future of the band that were sparked following the departure of founding bassist, Jeremy Davis last year.

Davis became the sixth member to vacate Paramore since they formed, and his departure prompted Williams to confess that she had “no idea what is next” for the band.

But it seems that time has now passed.

A fan on Twitter sassily questioned Williams, “I think u should say something about a new album, don’t you?!”

To which the singer replied: “haha, i suppose. we are writing it.”

Paramore’s last release was their self-titled record, which dropped in 2013 and saw them tour Australia the following year.

Hopefully a new record on the way means another Aussie tour will soon follow!

Meanwhile, founding Paramore guitarist and Hayley Williams’ ex-boyfriend Josh Farro has recently discussed his chances of rejoining the band, saying, “The thought has crossed my mind before, but I don’t think so. It would be interesting to ever be asked to rejoin the band but I don’t think it would ever happen, and I wouldn’t join again because I’m trying to focus on my career and I really believe in my music.”
