Hayley Williams Shares Acoustic Version Of ‘Simmer’

Hayley Williams has shared an acoustic rendition of Petals For Armor lead single ‘Simmer’. It’s a stunningly simplistic take on the original.

The new ‘Simmer’, which you can listen to down below, comes as part of Petals For Armor: Self-Serenades. It’s an EP that’s set to feature an acoustic version of ‘Why We Ever’ and the unreleased ‘Find Me Here’.

“The self-serenade version of SIMMER is now available for streaming ahead of the EP release,” Williams wrote in an Instagram post. “If you listen closely you can hear Alf sigh dramatically in the opening line. like mother like son.”

Alf is Williams’ dog for those playing at home.

Petals For Armor was Hayley Williams’ debut EP and if you can believe it, was released this year. She drip fed us the album via three parts, with the first starting back in February.

You can listen to the acoustic ‘Simmer’ and check out the new EP’s tracklisting below. The EP is due to be released Friday, 18th December.

Williams also participated in NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert at home series. Watch it here.
