Hear Chet Faker’s New ‘Song For Marcin’, An “Old Song For An Old Friend”

Chet Faker has debuted what he’s described as “old song for an old friend” on his SoundCloud page, titled Song For Marcin. The Melbourne electronic impressionist hasn’t offered any further details on the standalone track, which did not appear on his acclaimed debut LP, Built On Glass.

As equally acclaimed as Faker’s debut full-length release was his recent performance at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre. Music Feeds reviewer Elisa Parry was there to capture the action, remarking on Faker’s ability to craft an intimate atmosphere and dodge the bras that were thrown on stage.

More recently, the singer and producer stopped by the Triple J studios for an uplifting and rather choral rendition of the 1992 favourite You Don’t Treat Me No Good by Chicago-based blues band Sonia Dada, which Faker performed accompanied his very own “disciples” for Like A Version.
