Aussie-born New York resident Chet Faker (real name Nicholas Murphy) has dropped a pretty chill new track called In-Between, inspired by the deadly snowstorm which hit the east coast of the US today.
Sampling a press conference from New York major Bill de Blasio over some tight drums, breezy guitar and synths, In-Between comes with a short-but-sweet caption from our man Chet: “A blizzard #now.” The song arrives in the lead-up to Chet Faker’s as-yet-untitled second album, which will be the follow-up to 2014’s Built On Glass.
As CNN reports, at least 14 people have died as a result of the US snowstorm, which has swept across eastern states leaving up to 74,000 people without power. As for Chet, he’s clearly safe and in creative spirits.
