Eccentric Sydney punk-rockers Frenzal Rhomb are gearing up for a massive 25-year birthday tour across the country, but in true Rhomb style, there’s a twist.
Capitalising on the fact that democracy is still on the minds of many after the long and exhausting federal election; Jay, Lindsay and the boys have decided to let you decide what songs they’ll play on the upcoming tour.
“Time for some Direct Democracy, Frenzal Rhomb-style,” reads a Facebook post from the band. All you need to do is head here to vote – and if there’s something missing you can let the guys know because “it’s not our fault, we’re old.”
“Everything we’ve ever released is there. Album tracks, covers, secret tracks, b-sides, c-sides, d-sides (that’s both sides of SYM). Almost 180 of the fuckers, and they’re in random order, so just do a search to find that shit rarity you want us to have to learn. You can vote for ten songs, coz we reckon that’s probably how many good songs we’ve got.”
The poll will remain open “for a few weeks,” and in the meantime you can still secure tickets to Frenal Rhomb’s Australian tour. See below for full ticketing details.
