The trailer has been released for Snoop Dogg‘s aptly titled weed sitcom Mary + Jane.
Snoop’s the executive producer and also wrote and performed the theme song for the show which is due to debut on 5th September on MTV.
The show follows “girls next door” Paige and Jordan as they run an all-female weed delivery service in LA. It stars relatively unknown actresses Scout Durwood and Jessica Rothe who play “ganja-preneurs”, as Snoop puts it.
Snoop will guest star in the first season of the show as will Seth Green and Andy Daly. The trailer doesn’t give away much but it does look a little like a West Coast version of Comedy Central’s Broad City.
It should come as a surprise to nobody that Snoop is involved with this show. He’s basically built a career around his weed-centred lifestyle and last year launched a website dedicated to all things marijuana called Merry Jane.
He’s still releasing music too incase you’ve lost track of his rap career. He released his latest album Coolaid just last month.
