The newly reunited Hot Snakes will be making the most of their reformed status while in town for this year’s Meredith Music Festival. The punk rock outfit have announced two headlining gigs for while they’re in town.
Though they were only together for a relatively short period of time, the band left an immeasurable impact on the punk rock scene. Landing Best Punk Album at the San Diego Music Awards back in 2005, and also being hailed as the saviours of rock ‘n’ roll, the band soon threw in the towel. Given that members were living on opposite sides of the US, it became too much of a nightmare.
However, all the original members – Gar Wood, Rick Froberg, plus both drummers Jason Kourkounis and Mario Rubalcaba (who will most likely tag team the sticks) – have taken time from their numerous other musical commitments for a very short run of dates. Given that their last Aus tour was back in 2006, you’ll be waiting a while if you miss out. Check out the dates below.
