Jack White has been ruled out as a potential act for Splendour In The Grass 2014, after the American musician announced a US tour beginning 19th April and wrapping up on 3rd August at Osheaga Music & Arts Festival in Montreal.
As FasterLouder point out, White has scheduled shows from 24th-27th July in Pittsburgh and in his former hometown of Detroit, so there’s no chance that he’ll be travelling to Byron Bay for this year’s Splendour In The Grass festival.
White was a strong contender for the lineup after playing the festival back in 2012 and recently announcing his second solo album Lazaretto, set for release on 10th June. Check out album cut High Ball Stepper below.
Melbourne down-tempo producer Chet Faker has already confirmed his appearance at the festival, and so has NSW producer Yahtzel. Other acts in strong contention for the lineup include Foster The People, SBTRKT, London Grammar, James Vincent McMorrow, Sky Ferreira and Outkast.
