Kanye West’s “Dark” New Album Is Ready To Be Released

Kanye West has reportedly finished the follow-up to 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. That’s the word from American hip hop radio station Hot97, with presenter Peter Rosenberg revealing that West’s record label Def Jam held a listening party last week.

Rosenberg reports that he heard everyone at Def Jam loved the record, which was described as “dark but really good”. West is scheduled to perform on Saturday Night Live on 4th May where he could potentially debut a new track from the new record.

Recently it was reported that Daft Punk worked with Kanye, with the collaboration expected to appear on West’s next album. Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter said of the recording sessions, “It was very raw: he was rapping – kind of screaming primally, actually.”

In March it was reported that the lead single from West’s sixth solo studio album would be titled, I Am A God. During the same month West told fans during a show in Zénith, Paris that he’d drop “some new shit” in a couple of months:

“I wanna tell y’all that I’m working on some new shit. It’s gonna be out in a couple of months.”

Currently there’s nothing concrete on when the album with be released or what it will be titled. Earlier in the year an elaborate hoax had the album titled as Rich Black American, while in September last year a fake site announced the album as Black American Psycho.
