Kevin Parker Calls Out Music Site Over “Bullshit” Claims He Penned An Essay For Them

Tame Impala singer songwriter Kevin Parker has taken to Instagram to call out UK music blog Line Of Best Fit for falsely claiming he penned an essay titled Electric Dreams for the site.

The article attributes “words” to Parker, and was accompanied by the caption “Kevin Parker of Tame Impala writes exclusively for Best Fit on his triumphant 2015” when posted to social media, despite, as Parker retorts, the words being taken from a phone interview.

“This is bullshit,” Parker posted. “I never wrote anything for them. It was a 20 minute phone interview sewn together to look like an essay written by me. Just wanted you to know if you read. Soz for the bad vibes.”

Sharing his thoughts alongside a screenshot of the blog’s social media post, with deceptive caption, fans of Parker and the band were fast to show their support for big Kev calling out the site’s misrepresenting his words.

“Damn. I LOVE that you get on here and call out journalistic bullshit. So sad the state of integrity amongst music publications these days,” one commenter replied.

Line of Best Fit, which was founded in 2007, has failed to respond to Parker’s comments, with the post getting over 8,000 likes in ten hours, you can be sure people are waiting for an explanation.
