Another day, another Gizzfest announcement. This time around, Sydneysiders are getting in on the action, with details announced for the Sydney leg of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard‘s newly-created festival, launched in preparation for the band’s next album, Quarters.
Sydney’s Gizzfest shenanigans will take place at The Factory Theatre, with multiple stages playing hosts to acts such as The Laurels, The Murlocs, The Babe Rainbow, The Dandelion, Los Tones, I Oh You Dj’s, Yo Grito DJ’s, Blackbear Honeybear DJ’s and, of course, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
The Melbourne leg of Gizzfest was part of the festival’s launch announcement earlier this week, and details of the Perth leg followed suit yesterday. The Brisbane leg of Gizzfest will be announced tomorrow, Thursday, 16th April. Lineup and ticket details for the Sydney arm are available below.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have described Gizzfest as “their most ambitious and freaked out national headline tour yet”. Their new album, Quarters, will be released on Friday, 1st May. Catch album-opener, The River, below.
