Lana Del Rey’s ‘Shades Of Cool’ Takes After ‘Young And Beautiful’

It’s been a jam-packed few days for US pop star Lana Del Rey. Off the back of serenading guests at America’s version of the royal wedding, she has now unleashed her latest single Shades Of Cool from her upcoming record, Ultraviolence.

The song, equal parts gloomy and jazzy, was produced by Rick Nowels, the Grammy-award winning songwriter and producer who, alongside Del Rey, co-wrote Summertime Sadness and Young And Beautiful, two of the three tracks she reportedly performed at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s wedding rehearsal dinner in Florence over the weekend to the tune of about $2.8 million.

Earlier this month, Lana Del Rey officially announced the release date of her second album, the The Black KeysDan Auerbach-produced Ultraviolence along with its tracklist, artwork and packaging.

Other song titles include, Old Money, Fucked My Way Up to the Top, Money Power Glory, Sad Girl, The Other Woman and Cruel World. The new full-length record is set to be released in the UK this June 16th, with international releases expected soon after.
