Lansdowne Hotel Officially Relaunches With Gay Paris & Fox Company

Sydney’s famed Lansdowne Hotel will rise from the ashes, quite literally, with its return as a live music venue Friday, 18th October. Fans will be treated to a lineup headlined by Sydney quartet Gay Paris and will be able to enjoy the Lansdowne’s new NYC diner decor.

Recent refurbishment efforts have transformed the venue into what owners have described as a “New York warehouse,” and they’re excited for the Lansdowne to get back to business delivering Sydney-siders top-notch rock shows in one of their most beloved venues.

Gay Paris are four Sydney-based rockabillies who play “growling, whisky-soaked” rock & roll, having just completed a run of dates in support of their album The Last Good Party. Filling out the roster will be Fox Company, Reckless Empire, and Tremor Dolls.

From 6pm there’ll be an open mic in front of the hotel windows, with patrons and pedestrians alike welcome to come and enjoy folk/country artist Daniel Allars. Starting 10pm, the Lansdowne Block Party will be going off in the upstairs area with the finest in hip-hop and house.

Finally, the crowning jewel of the new Lansdowne is now up and running. Dubbed The Phoenix Diner, the electric decor and new menu items like Coked Up Chicken Legs and Moonshine Gumbo combine to deliver “an authentic American diner experience.”
