Late Rapper, DMX’s Cause Of Death Has Been Revealed

DMX’s cause of death has been confirmed by a medical examiner. The legendary rapper died back in April at the age of 50 after suffering, “catastrophic cardiac arrest.”

Now, his cause of death has been revealed. He suffered a heart attack that was caused by “acute cocaine intoxication.”

“There were a number of days where he was on ventilatory support and so forth in the hospital,” explained an official from the Westchester County medical examiner’s office.

“However, he was diagnosed brain-dead early on … He never woke up from [a] coma.”

The rapper had been rushed to hospital after suffering from a drug overdose and going into cardiac arrest. He stayed in hospital for a week, but it is reported he had already suffered lung and brain failure by the time he was placed on life support.

DMX died Friday, 9th April. He passed away in a New York hospital surrounded by family.

He had a memorial service at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Nas, Kanye West and his Sunday Service Choir, and DMX’s daughter all paid tribute to him in the service.
