Lil Nas X & Jack Harlow’s Video For ‘Industry Baby’ Is As Chaotic As Expected

Lil Nas X shared a new single featuring Jack Harlow on Friday. We now have the music video for the song, ‘Industry Baby’, and it’s every bit as chaotic as we expected.

Ahead of the release of ‘Industry Baby’, Lil Nas X disclosed to fans it wasn’t kid-friendly.

“Saying this in advance so y’all won’t blame me,” the rapper said in a TikTok video. “THE INDUSTRY BABY VIDEO IS NOT FOR YOUR KIDS!”

Of course, he felt the need to disclose a hip hop music video wouldn’t be child-appropriate due to the response around his previous single’s video ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’.

The video, which showed the rapper giving Satan a lap dance, copped a bunch of conservative backlash.

Now, the video for ‘INDUSTRY BABY’ has arrived and it is spicy. Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow escape prison together in the video.

Lil Nas X eventually digs a tunnel to escape his cell. Luckily, the guard doesn’t notice him on the surveillance footage, as he’s too busy watching the ‘Montero’ video.

Nas features in a saucy shower scene, Harlow hooks up with a security guard, and together they storm out of the prison in a bus.

The rappers have both been responding to criticism against the video online.

Harlow tweeted, “Nas wrote the whole treatment for this video and I followed his lead every step of the way. If he had asked me to be in that shower scene I woulda been in that shower scene. I just let the mastermind cook. Honored to be apart of it.”

One Twitter user wrote, “White corporate music execs funded a music video with Lil Nas X, where a bunch of Black men are in prison twerking. And the lone white man Jack Harlow is sexually involved with a FEMALE guard.

“But all the Black men are sexually engaging with each other.

“This is progress?”

Lil Nas X wasn’t having it. He quote tweeted him and said, “lemme explain.”

“lil nas = gay

so he wit boy

“jack harlow = straight

so he wit girl

“got it??”

Nas also tweeted, “On a serious note, i know the pain that incarceration brings to a family. and the disproportionate impact that cash bail has on the black community. that’s why i teamed up with [Bail project] to create the Bail X Fund. let’s bring people home!
