Lil Nas X Officially Announces Debut Album ‘Montero’, Shares Album Trailer

Here we go! Lil Nas X has officially announced his debut album Montero. It’s hard to believe that this will be the first studio album we receive from the artist, with the success of ‘Old Town Road’ back in 2019.

The time has come though, Montero will be Lil Nas X’s first album and he’s even shared a trailer for it.

Montero’s trailer layers images from his massive milestone-filled career thus far. Moments from ‘Old Town Road’, ‘Panini’, ‘Holiday’, and ‘Montero/Call Me By Your Name’ each appear.

The debut album news follows Lil Nas X shutting down homophobes yesterday. Towards the end of his BET Awards performance, he gave a backup dancer a lil snog and homophobia was, sadly, rife in the comments.

“Y’all live your lives trying your best to appease straight ppl,” he wrote. “Y’all are uncomfortable with what I do because y’all are afraid they will be uncomfortable with you. Work on yourselves, I love who I am and whatever I decide to do. get there.”

He later tweeted the below.

Montero the album will follow up Lil Nas X’s debut EP 7. It featured ‘Panini’ and ‘Old Town Road’.
