Listen Out Announces Replacement Act After Future Pulls Out

Listen Out has announced that homegrown hip hop act Hermitude will step in for Future at the festival’s Sydney and Brisbane legs this weekend, after the rapper pulled out of the shows following the death of a close friend.

In a statement, Listen Out organisers says, “Huge thanks to one of our all-time favourite acts Hermitude for stepping up and joining Listen Out Sydney and Brisbane this weekend.

“They are one of Australia’s biggest and most respected electronic/hip-hop acts and are brilliant live. If you haven’t seen them before, you’re in for a treat. They’ve kindly put their album recording commitments aside to bring their unrivalled festival skills to the party and make you dance dance dance dance.”

Updated Sydney and Brisbane set times are coming “ASAP”, so stay tuned for those.

Future cancelled his final two appearances at Listen Out 2017 following the death of his friend and audio engineer Seth Firkins.

Listen Out will take place in Sydney’s Centennial Park and Brisbane’s Victoria Park this weekend.
