Aussie breakout singer/songwriter Peach PRC is back with another slice of music excellence today, with her stirring new single ‘Heavy’.
Initially teased via her TikTok page (resulting in feverish excitement from her followers), ‘Heavy’ is a stirring piano number from the singer, with her emotionally vulnerable lyrics taking centre stage.
Accompanying the song is a beautiful music video, cutting between shots of her singing and floating above a bleak yet darkly magical shoreline. Watch below.
“The film we made for Peach PRC’s Heavy embraces the more interior and vulnerable side of us all, the isolation of feeling like a difficult person and knowing that you have a lot to give despite it,” said video director Stephanie Jane Day (Emma Russack, Slane Peterson).
“I wanted to indulge on Peach’s behalf and take all this to a place of peace and beauty. I wanted the film to complement the song – I wanted Peach to know that even though she feels heavy – she has everything she needs to soar.”
Peach PRC exploded onto centre stage earlier this year with her debut single ‘Josh’, with the song having now racked up over 10 million streams (and counting).
With endorsements from the likes of NME and Vogue Australia, it’s a safe bet that we’re going to be hearing a whole lot more from Peach PRC over the next year, so you’d best familiarise yourself with her anthems now.
