Live It Up Festival 2014 Lineup Announced

Following a successful 2013 debut with a lineup that featured the likes of The Amity Affliction, Dune Rats, and Chance Waters, the organisers of the under-18s Live It Up Festival have decided to go bigger and better for 2014, bringing together Parkway Drive, Violent Soho, and more.

Byron Bay metalcore heroes Parkway Drive have been on something of a hot streak lately, recently making crowds fall in love with them all over again during the Australian return of the Vans Warped Tour. Frontman Winston McCall also found time to tell bands who use backing tracks where to go.

Violent Soho were already a name on everyone’s lips before they’d dropped their well-received first album, 2008’s We Don’t Belong Here, amassing a rabid national following via word of mouth of their propulsive, energetic, and explosive live shows. They’re now stalwarts of the Aussie live scene.

The last 12 months have seen Adelaide rapper Allday rise to become not only of the country’s certified future stars, but one of its most consistently gripping and entertaining live performers. From support slots with Yelawolf to a raft of festival appearances, this kid has a bright future.

Also on the bill are The Jungle Giants, In Hearts Wake, The Creases, and Lunatics On Pogosticks. Pre-sale tickets hit sale Wednesday, 26th March, with general sales launching Monday, 31st March. The whole thing goes down at the RNA Showgrounds Marquee on Saturday, 21st June.
