Australian rock veterans The Living End have added dates to their upcoming tour The Ending Is Just The Beginning Repeating due to high demand.
Three dates have been added in total, with Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney being the cities to host an additional show, with the initial single concerts in those cities selling out quicksmart.
Full tour dates can be found below, while the band are still in the afterglow of their 1997 eponymous album made it to number four on Triple J’s much-maligned list of the best 100 albums by Australian artists.
Meanwhile in other Living End news, it seems the band have been made the subject of a comic book by some fans from the Ukraine, according to a new interview the three-piece gave to the Australian, where singer Chris Cheney recalled the band’s early days, playing the pub circuit as a covers band in Melbourne, saying, “That’s how we cut our teeth, playing that kind of music… We played to mums and dads . . . a real rock ‘n’ roll dance kind of crowd. But we always felt that there was only so far you could go playing the 12-bar blues kind of thing. I wanted to be more of a songwriter.
“Still, I like the idea of revisiting that era of what we did in forthcoming records, even though we have moved on from that.”
