Lollapalooza have been opening up the ol’ vault on some of their most iconic guests. Earlier this month we were treated to Foo Fighters’ 2011 set, before that we got The Strokes’ 2010 rendezvous. Today, they’re giving us a 2006 throwback with Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Lollapalooza are still yet to cancel this year’s festy, and are maybe trying to soften the blow with these throwbacks. Whatever the reason, we’re into it.
Red Hot Chili Peppers threw a 17-song set including absolute tunes: ‘Can’t Stop’, ‘Scar Tissue’, and ‘Charlie’ along with a Simon & Garfunkel cover.
It’s also worth a mention that Anthony Kiedis wear those multi-coloured, fingerless gloves with a pinstriped vest. Peak 2006 vibes.
