Macy Gray Announces 2015 Australian Tour

Macy Gray is headed to Australia for a string of dates beginning in March 2015. The R&B/Soul singer will tour behind her eighth studio album The Way, playing headlining gigs in Victoria, WA, NT, Queensland, and NSW and performing in South Australia as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

The singer last toured Australia in 2012, in support of her Covered record, which included a special performance at the Sydney Opera House. Gray has been a fixture in popular music ever since her breakthrough single I Try charted pretty much everywhere around the world in 1999, hitting number one on locally.

The list of artists Gray has gone on to work with is a large and varied one, including Red Hot Chili Pepper John Frusciante, Erykah Badu, and current Soulfest performer Mos Def.

Ticketmaster and Visa Preferred pre-sales go on sale from 9.00am, 22nd October. Ticketek pre-sale go on sale from 9.00am, 27th October for Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney shows only. General public tickets for Macy Gray’s 2015 Australian tour go on sale from 10.00am (local time) on Wednesday, 29th October.

UPDATE 24/11/14: The Macy Gray show on Saturday March 7th, 2015 at The Palais Theatre has now been rescheduled to be staged at The Athenaeum, on Collins Street, at the same date and time. Please note that original Ticketmaster tickets will not gain fans access to the Athenaeum Theatre, they will require new Ticketek tickets for entry.

Ticket holders for the original concert at the Palais Theatre will be automatically given new tickets from Ticketek for the new venue. Tickets have been held to satisfy the ticket holders for the original venue and will remain on hold until the replacement period has ended.
