Margaret Glaspy And Chain & The Gang Announce Golden Plains Festival Sideshows

If you can’t make it to Golden Plains festival next year, there’s a silver lining, because two of the festival’s most notable acts have just announced sideshows.

NYC singer Margaret Glaspy and rock ‘n’ rollers Chain & The Gang will both play their own headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne, with Glaspy also set to play one in Brisbane.

This is Glaspy’s debut Australian tour, and follows on from the release of her debut album Emotions and Math, which dropped earlier this year. On top of playing Golden Plains, she’s also been named on the lineup for A Festival Called Panama, and will perform alongside Martha Wainwright during the Melbourne Zoo Twilights series.

It’s also the debut tour for the ever-charismatic Chain & The Gang, fronted by Ian Svenonious, who has been in many notable bands including Nation of Ulysses and The Make-Up. Chain & The Gang have been around since 2009, and in that time they’ve released four albums, their latest being 2014’s Minimum Rock ’n’ Roll.

These sideshows follow this morning’s tour announcement from fellow-Golden Plains act The Specials.
