Matt Okine & Alex Dyson Will Be Reuniting At The 2019 ARIA Awards

If you didn’t have a reason to tune into the 2019 ARIA Awards, you do now as the dynamic duo of Rat Dog & Crumb (Matt Okine & Alex Dyson) will be reuniting there.

YouTube Music are bringing the duo back together, and they’ve made the announcement via a trailer that sees them mourn for the company of one another just as much as we mourned them on our airwaves.

The trailer sees the duo parody some of music’s most iconic “I wish we were still together” videos, like Sinead O’Connor’s ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ and Gotye & Kimbra’s ‘Somebody That I Used To Know.’

Matt and Alex left triple J‘s Breakfast show in 2016, and were then replaced by Ben Harvey & Liam Stapleton. Now, those two have just announced their departure as they head for a gig at Nova in their hometown of Adelaide, and will be replaced by Sally & Erica – the station’s first ever all-female Breakfast host roster.

The 2019 ARIA Awards are taking place at The Star in Sydney on Wednesday, 27th November. The ceremony will be hosted by Guy Sebastian, and will feature performances from Dua Lipa, Halsey and 2019 ARIA Hall Of Fame inductees Human Nature. Check the full list of nominations, lead by Tones & I and Thelma Plum, here.
