Melbourne’s White Night Announces 2016 Return

White Night Melbourne will return early next year, with the Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews calling for expressions of interest from Melbourne creatives keen to partake.

White Night pulls together Melbourne’s best art, music, theatre, film and more, dragging people out of bed for the all-night event – something that could only work in Australia’s late-night capital.

Last year’s event gathered an impressive array of musical acts performing over three all-night stages with Remi, Jack Ladder, Total Giovanni and NO ZU entertaining throughout the night. Altogether, there were more than 80 free events and activities in Melbourne.

White Night is a translated version of Nuit Blanche, an event held in 23 cities around the world including Paris, Toronto and Sao Paulo. Melbourne is the only city in Australia to host it.

The event will take over Melbourne for 12 hours from 7pm on Saturday 20th February to 7am on Sunday 21st February. That’s more than seven months away, giving you plenty of time to catch up on your sleep debt before ruining it again in February.

Creatives that are keen in taking part can apply here. The full program will be announced closer to the date.
