Strange things are afoot inside the MGMT camp.
After promising to return in 2017 to “redominate your mind hole”, the US psych rock duo have just unleashed a bizarre teaser video, although we have no bloody idea what it all means.
The clip is full 80’s-themed, using VHS tape-style graphics and showing a Tron-ified version of the band’s logo.
Packing the cryptic tagline of “thEy R stil out there”, the vid features bandmates Benjamin Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden, some creepy vintage keyboard music (complete with fuck-ups) and a weird crystal thingy.
Could this be building up to the release of the new music that was promised to us?
