Ever glared at some of your favourite albums cover art with unsubstantiated contempt and thought, ‘I could do a better job using MS Paint!’ Well, thanks to those willing to pit their artistic abilities against the rudimentary functionality of MS Paint, there exists an online gallery of man versus machine.
Curator, of sorts, Marc Fischer long ago began amassing album covers recreated in MS Paint on his website Public Collector. The collection consists of some amusingly flawed, and some quite impressive, recreations of cover art from classic albums by AC/DC, The Beatles, Slayer and more.
The sample below has been assembled courtesy of NME, and includes MS Paint versions of Nas’ Illmatic, Michael Jackson’s Thriller, and Nirvana’s Nevermind. Now let’s all settle in for some cheap hump day laughs…
