Miguel Is Reportedly Being Sued For That Failed 2013 Stage Jump

That #fail of a stage jump at the 2013 Billboard music awards continues to haunt US singer Miguel, with reports that two years later one crowd member is taking legal action against him.

The incident occurred two years ago at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, but was caught on film for eternity. The footage shows Miguel attempted to jump between two parts of the stage during his performance, missed and awkwardly landed on the heads of some female audience members.

Now, according to TMZ, one of those audience members Cindy Tsai is suing Miguel, and the MGM Grand – the venue for the 2013 award show – for negligence. Tsai reportedly claims she was injured by Miguel’s fall and is seeking damages to cover medical bills and lost wages.

At the time of the incident, another woman, named Khyati Shah, was reportedly considering her legal options after the stage dive, alleging that Miguel’s fall may have given her a head injury. No lawsuit eventuated from those claims.
