Red Bull Music Academy, the globetrotting series of music workshops and events, has today announced its return to Splendour In The Grass for a second year, where it will host a slew of international talent performing alongside the cream of Australia’s electronic community.
Taking the Red Bull stage at this year’s Splendour will be hip-hop visionary and founder of West Coast label Stones Throw, Peanut Butter Wolf, soul-melting vocalist Nicole Millar, LA’s NGUZUNGUZU, triple j Unearthed “Artist of the Year” Remi, Brisbane EDM stars Young Franco and Sampology plus a bunch more.
Having recently announced that the Red Bull Music Academy will be hosted in Japan in October 2014, this year’s Splendour experience is set to draw on inspiration from the cultural delights of Tokyo, bringing the stage area to life with lanterns, laneways, neon and pixelated dreams.
These acts will join the Outkast-led Splendour roster which also includes, Childish Gambino, Lily Allen, Interpol, London Grammar and Kelis. With more international artists yet to be announced, a wealth of musical content on offer, and a few surprises for the early birds to come, RBMA is firmly setting up its camp in the sunny climbs of Byron.
