MS MR were a favourite of Splendour In The Grass in 2013, so it should come as welcome news to fans that they have announced a bunch of headline dates in addition to their return at Splendour 2015.
The duo of vocalist Lizzy Plapinger and producer Max Hershenow will perform shows in Melbourne and Sydney as well as taking to the Splendour stage on the final day of the festival.
Painted, the first single from their as-yet-untitled new album was unleashed a few weeks ago and features the band’s trademark broodiness alongside one of their most high-energy choruses yet.
It’s unknown whether or not MS MR will have some more new tracks out by the time Splendour rolls around but we’d like to bet that they will use this opportunity to road test some of the new songs they have been working on since their debut LP Secondhand Rapture.
