Muse’s Matt Bellamy To Feature On New Kimbra Album

Kimbra‘s managed to secure an incredible list of collaborators over the last 12 months. Most recently she announced a co-headline tour with Janelle Monae, and she’s been writing with The Dillinger Escape Plan and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. You can now add Matt Bellamy to the list.

When news of her tour with Monae was announced this morning, the Muse frontman’s name was featured amongst a list of past collaborators, which included the likes of Daniel Johns, Van Dyke Parks, Thundercat, Bilal, Mark Foster, Keefus Green, John Legend, and producer Rich Costey.

FasterLouder have since reached out to the New Zealand singer’s publicist, who confirmed that Bellamy, who’s worked extensively with Costey in the past, visited the studio during the singer’s sessions wanting to play on the record. He will reportedly feature on the album’s first single.

In addition to guitars from Bellamy, Kimbra posted photos of herself and a guitar-bearing Rodriguez-Lopez to Instagram back in October. The prodigious collaborator has also worked with Queens of the Stone Age, Dirty Projectors, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra during the sessions.
